Albendex 100 is a light blue viscous suspension with a characteristic odour free from any visible impurities. It is a synthetic anthelmintic, which belongs to the group of benzimidazole derivatives with a broad spectrum activity against of parasitic worms. It is effective against adult liver flukes at higher dose levels.
INDICATIONS:
Used in the control and treatment of gastro-intestinal roundworms (both mature and immature including inhibited Ostertagia Type II), tapeworms (both heads and segments) and lung worms in cattle, camels, sheep, goats and calves. It is also ovicidal and will kill worm and fluke eggs in animals thus reducing pasture contamination.
- The Gastrointestinal worms include: Ostertagia, Haemonchus, Nematodirus, Chabertia, Oesophagostomum, Bunostomum, Cooperia,
Strongyloides and Trichostrongylus spp. - Lungworms: Dictyocaulus viviparous & Dictyocaulus filaria.
- Tapeworms: Moniezia spp.
- Liver-flukes: Adult Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
- Cattle: 7.5ml per 100 kg Body weight
- Sheep and Goats: 0.5ml per 10 kg Body Weight.
PRECAUTION
- Do not exceed the stated dosage.
- Do not use in animals at mating or during early pregnancy (1st trimester)
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
- Milk: 3 days
- Meat: 14 days
STORAGE CONDITIONS
- Store below 30 C in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children.
