Wormitrex 7.5 Poultry is a yellow coloured homogenous free flowing liquid free from foreig visible particles that contains Levamisole which is the laevo-enantiomer of etramisole and is an anthelmintic imidazothiazoles. It is effective upon oral administration against various species of nematodes. Its antihelmintic action is characterized by paralysis of the worm through a neuromuscular inhibition of the depolarizing type, leading to passive elimination of the worm.
INDICATIONS
Wormitrex 7.5 Poultry is a broad spectrum antihelmintic used in control and treatment of nematode infestations in chicken, geese, ducks and turkey. It is effective against both mature and immature worms of the following species; Ascaridia spp, Capillaria spp, Heterakis spp, Amidostomum spp and Syngamus trachea.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration via drinking water. 25mg of Levamisole HCl per kg body weight. Dissolve 5ml of Wormitrex 7.5 Poultry per 2 litres of drinking water or 50ml Wormitrex 7.5 Poultry per 20 litres of drinking water. Withhold all other sources of drinking water during treatment. In all cases Wormitrex 7.5 Poultry is given as a day’s treatment.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.
