Sulfadimidine is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, anticoccidial that is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and certain coccidia, such as Eimeria and Isospora species. It acts by inhibiting folic acid synthesis, thereby preventing bacterial replication.
INDICATIONS
- BIODIME is indicated for the treatment of coccidiosis, infectious coryza, fowl cholera, and fowl typhoid in poultry.
- Sulfadimidine has a broad antimicrobial spectrum on gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria such as Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium tetani and perfringens, E. coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Chlamydia, Nocardia and Protozoa like Coccidia and Toxoplasma.
DOSAGE
Coccidiosis, Coryza, Fowl Cholera, and Typhoid: 20ml in 5 litres of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Acute Cholera and Typhoid: 20ml in 5 liters of drinking water for 6 consecutive days.
