Nilcox is a white free flowing powder free from foreign impurities. It contains Sulfadimidine, Diaveridine and Vitamin K3. Diaveridine is a coccidiostat that exhibits anti-parasitic activity. It is an aminopyrimidine in which the pyrimidine ring carries amino substituents at C-2 and C-4 and a 3, 4-dimethoxybenzyl group at C-5. A folic acid antagonist and used as a synergist with sulfonamides against the parasitic Eimeria species. Sulphadimidine sodium is a chemotherapeutic with bacteriostatic action against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and against certain protozoa like Eimeria and Isospora spp., and coccidian. Vitamin K3 is essential for prothrombin production playing an important role clotting during haemorrhagic associated challenges of coccidiosis.
INDICATIONS
Nilcox is a safe, non-toxic anticoccidial water soluble powder which can be used in all poultry species at all ages excluding laying birds. For the treatment of caecal and intestinal coccidiosis in non-laying poultry. Effective against: E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina & E. maxima.
